    Paphiopedilum John Lamb ‘Ithaca’; CCM/83pts.

    Parentage: (barbigerum x gratrixianum)

    Description:  Seven mature flowers, two partially open
    flowers and five buds on fourteen unstaked inflorescences
    randomly displayed around a clean robust plant measuring
    48cm across; plant and flowers reminiscent of a large Paph.
    barbigerum; dorsal sepal white apically and green basally
    flushed lilac purple centrally; synsepals varying from entirely
    green to green centrally with white edges and random
    purple flushes; petals creamy yellow reticulated and flushed
    brown and thin brown central line; staminode light yellow
    with darker yellow central boss; substance medium firm;
    texture semi-gloss.

    Description:  Approximately 120 flowers and 25 buds on
    40 inflorescences borne on a very clean plant measuring
    120cm in circumference; flowers held within bottom half of
    leaves a few of which have been trimmed; sepals and petals
    yellow-green and light mahogany on basal half; lip white
    with yellow throat and radiating pale mahogany stripes,
    column bright saffron yellow; substance medium firm;
    texture matte.

    Description:  Fourteen well formed round flowers and four
    buds on one branched inflorescence; full, flat sepals and
    petals saturated rich rusty red; petals edges serrated;
    ruffled lip edged pale yellow with heavily ridged bright yellow
    callus; anther cap splotched white; substance very heavy;
    texture waxy.
